The story and facts about the musical "Wicked"
Wicked first performed on Broadway in 2003 with Kristen Chenoweth and Idina Menzal as its leading ladies, and since this performance it has spread worldwide, having great success in the West End which very few shows become successful after first performed on Broadway. The story is taken from the novel by Gregory Maguire which compares the story of the Good witch of the north (Glinda) as well as the wicked witch of the west (Elphaba), and shows the growth of their friendship, and how they show their individuality.
